A Not So Classical French Toast

A lot of people don’t enjoy the breakfast meal because it tends to be repetitive and boring sometimes, but for me, breakfast is something I love because I get creative with it. Like for example, turning a boring french toast recipe into the best french toast you will ever have, who isn’t down for that?

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 & 1/3 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 8 slices of toast

  • Beat together egg, milk, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla.

  • Heat a pan and add the butter.
  • Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides.

  • Place in pan, and cook on both sides until golden.

If you are feeling creative try out, a stuffed french toast:

Ingredients for the cream cheese filling:

  • 1/2 cup of cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup of  powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of butter

Whisk them together until the mixture is thick then, using a spatula, spread some mixture in between two French toasts (made above) and add some strawberries, pineapples, or any desired fruit.

For my combination, I added cream cheese filling, some pineapples, some honey and some jam.

Other stuffing ideas could be Nutella, peanut butter, or even savory ingredients such as bacon and eggs.  Try out different combinations as that will make that boring breakfast meal an amazing meal you look forward to every night.

Bon appetite!
